1. Who are you and what does your SaaS do?

I’m Preet Raj, the Co-founder & CTO at Bakstage. I’m on a mission to help brands navigate the upcoming cookie-less world, gain consented first-party data and awesome consumer insights by building communities of loyal customers.

I’m a Senior engineering leader, industry speaker, and scaling expert who has built award-winning tech for Consumer Fin-tech and SaaS startups. I’ve been regarded as an expert in BigData, Privacy, AI/ML and possess multiple patents for my innovations. Most recently, I was featured in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top 10 CTOs to Watch in 2022.

Bakstage is a no-code AI technology platform designed for companies to build deeper relations with their customers via live and interactive audio & video experiences on their own websites.

2. When did you start your business? 

We’ve been building our SaaS product since November 2021 and launched at the end of January 2022. My Co-founder Shashank Singh and I founded Bakstage and built an amazing team to help us achieve our vision.

3. Why did you decide to join the SaaStock Founder Membership?

I wanted to join this network of amazing SaaS founders to develop my knowledge further and build and scale my business. I firmly believe that being part of a strong and growing community of likeminded people is vital to success and growth. 

I wanted to surround myself with Founders on the same journey as me, become a sounding board to bounce ideas off and offer my experience and expertise in building products, scaling technology and scaling teams.

4. As a SaaS founder, what’s the one challenge you are facing in your SaaS at the moment?

Building and scaling the business.

5. How are you looking to overcome this? 

We have partnered with top agencies working alongside Fortune1000 brands to sell Bakstage as a tech marketing solution to top CMOs and Heads of Digital.

6. If you had a magic wand, what would you change (about your SaaS or externally) to enable faster growth?

Inject capital into the business to help execute further client contracts and increase our MRR.

7. What one piece of information do you wish you were privy to before starting/ founding your company?

Starting to build the business and potentially secure client contracts upfront before building the product.

8. Finally, what do you aspire to become, personally or professionally, within the next 12 months?

I personally aspire to become the champion of user data privacy and lead the wave for consented first-party data.
