Introduction

The Global SaaS market is anticipated to rise at a considerable rate during the forecast period, between 2023 and 2029.

Software-as-a-Service has been on a rise for over a decade and is forecasted to continue at this pace. North America has the biggest slice of the cake with just over 17,000 SaaS startups that make up over 56% of the market.

The growth of the SaaS market is evident from its worth, which has spiked from just over $30 billion in 2013 to over $146 billion last year. Much of this advancement has been driven by global consumer spending that has increased by over 5x to approximately $176.62 billion, in less than ten years.

Ahead of SaaStock USA, we’ve been looking deep into the leaders in the field that are driving this industry forward. Some of these companies have been around since the inception of SaaS, others have made their mark in a period of 1-2 years. A few of these are unicorns, some even decacorns such as Stripe, Miro and Grammarly.

We’ve selected these SaaS startups based on their fast growth rates, various funding rounds raised, and recognition by, and making headlines in, industry-leading press such as Silicon Hill News and TechCrunch. They’re making a positive impact in verticals such as productivity, human resources, healthcare and finance.

Is SaaS the future? There’s not a doubt.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the SaaS companies leading the way (This is part one of a monthly series of features).
