In this episode of the SaaS Revolution Show our host Alex Theuma is joined by Tim Soulo, CMO at Ahrefs, to tell us how he contributed to Ahrefs’ 10x growth in revenue to 100M ARR.

The route of the word marketing is market, right, so understanding what people are willing to buy, what people are willing to pay money for, and who the other suppliers or companies that exist on the market that can provide those products or services are. So I believe that the large part of marketing is figuring out what the market needs, where the market is going, what the market will need two years from now and developing that within your product. If we’re talking about SaaS, many of those products are not a single-feature application; they have multiple features and ‘jobs to be done’. You need to understand which of them can be your unique selling point and your strength.

Tim shares:

  • The secret to his CMO success
  • What really worked during his first 12 months in the role
  • Getting 10x growth to 100M ARR
  • The one thing all CMOs should avoid
  •  The best career advice he’s ever received

and more!
