In this episode of the SaaS Revolution Show our host Alex Theuma is joined by Rajesh Jain, Founder and Managing Director at Netcore Cloud, to talk to us about building a Proficorn: charting the journey of Netcore Cloud from zero to $100M ARR – bootstrapped.

A couple years ago everyone used to talk a lot about Unicorns, and I said no one wants to write about companies like us in the media because we don’t have VC investors, we’re not blowing up a lot of capital, we’re not continuously doing funding rounds. I said we need a name to describe our type of company, so that’s how I came up with Proficorn: profitable, private, bootstrapped, and reasonably valued. I looked around and there were quite a few Proficorns – Mailchip was probably one of the largest Proficorns, they then thought about selling the capital they put into it for over $10 billion. There are a lot of entrepreneurs like that – I think we deserve a separate category!
